Round Two

Tuesday started with rain. Cleansing the earth from above. Thank you God. We definitely needed the moisture.

I got up and fed the horses, had some breakfast, did some paperwork, washed my bedding, and then took a nap. By noon I was in the shower. And I even got the pain-numbing salve on more closely to the right spot. Then being that I never know how my body will react after chemo, I put my nice clean sheets back on my bed, and I added a heavy winter blanket. So now no matter what happens in the next couple of days, I will have a nice clean, warm bed to rest my body.

By the time I got to my chemo appointment, my stomach was acting up. I'm sure it was just nerves. The Port was quickly accessed and the session was "on".

Afterwards I stopped at Walmart to see about getting some juice. They didn't have what I was looking for in the smaller bottles, so I wandered around and looked for other things. Then it was on to the drug store to pick up a prescription refill. Final stop was to the bank to make a deposit.

As soon as I got back home, I settled into the couch for another well-deserved nap.

My legs seem to be cramping right now. Same thing happened last week. One Tylenol seems to do the trick. I'm actually just putting this in the blog to make sure I have a written record of these symptoms.

Sooooooooooooo..............so far so good. Two sessions down, 16 more to go. That means I've already completed over 10% of the treatment. Yeah to progress.

Day 10 (which is this coming Thursday) is supposedly the lowest day for my body as it adjusts to the bombardment of chemo. Prayers needed to help me through this week.

Thank you Lord for getting me through chemo. And thank you to each of you that have called, emailed or stopped by to check up on me and make sure I'm doing okay. Let me assure you that you help me get through each day.

Hugs to all.

Phyllis - Before you know it you'll be over 25% and that's such a short run to 50%. Love Mary

Yea for progress, indeed. It's a good perspective to see that Day 10 doldrums may also be "progress" because you are surviving/getting through the chemo.
