No tossing and turning last night. I promptly fell asleep after lights out and slept straight through all night long. (I sound like what a new-born mother would say when their baby "finally" sleeps through the night)!
A good night's sleep gets you up and going and ready to face your day. And the sun was shining!
Had a 10am appointment to service my pickup. Come to find out that I hadn't had an oil change in over three years. Turns out in three years I only put on slightly over 3000 miles. . . . I know what you're saying. You need to service a vehicle more often than that - even if it isn't driven. All I can say is, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. Get over it!
Left the car dealership about 11am and headed home. But made one stop in town to buy a pair of winter-lined gloves. Got home in time to take a quick nap, before heading to town for my 1pm blood draw. At noon I realized that my appointment was really at 2pm, NOT 1pm. More nap time ensued.
I had time to get a question answered regarding chemo. They had told me that my low point in the cycle would be day 10. If chemo accumulates in my body each week, it seems that my low point would be after the third round of each cycle.
Question: Why is it day 10?
Answer: On day one, when the first chemo enters the body, it attacks the blood cells. Well, it takes 10 days for baby blood cells to mature into adult blood cells.
Life is good. It will be great to get tomorrow's chemo session over. That will be followed by a well-deserved week off. And it will be the first full indicator of how I really tolerate an entire cycle. I'm ready. Bring it on!
Ouch.
