Bracing for Cold

Temperatures predicted in the low 20's tonight. Brrrrrrrrrrrr. Only going to be this way for a couple of days, followed by a warming trend and about three days of rain. We need the rain, so if it warms up we'll get rain and not snow. We DON'T NEED SNOW.

The horses all got fed slightly larger portions tonight and the water heaters are all working correctly, so everyone outside should be fine. And of course the dog and I are all snuggled inside the house....so we're okay.

I've been eating lots and lots lately, with no problems. Of course they keep telling me to eat small portions, so here is an example of my routine:
  • Think about eating
  • Warm up something to eat
  • Eat
  • Go brush my teeth (they say it's extremely important during chemo to brush the teeth every time I eat). I also had to buy a soft toothbrush and special toothpaste - to reduce and/or eliminate mouth sores.
  • Sit down in chair and snooze
  • Wake up thinking about eating
  • ...............the cycle is repeated!

And now it's time to be thinking about bed. (How I can be sleepy after doing "nothing" all day I'll never know), but getting horizontal sounds really good.

It's nice to feel good, nice to know that I can go to sleep and be rejuvenated and well-rested in the morning, and nice to know that I have wonderful friends that care about me and love me. I care about and love them as well.

Hugs and prayers to all of you friends.

I like snow... it's magical.

Eating sounds like a good activity. When I was a kiddo, with very high metabolism, I could eat until all the food was gone, walk away from the table, and be hungry almost instantly. I've learned to slow down and savor my meals. Much better.

Brushing teeth is an excellent healhty habit. I gained the habit, when I paid for my own orthodontia... gotta protect the invesment. It was so wonderful to be able to easily and efficiently clean my teeth after my braces were removed. Brushing my teeth was a pleasure.

Enjoy the warmth and comfort of being inside when it's cold outside.
