We're Making Progress

Just got off the phone with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). They have received my records of all the procedures done within the last month in Spokane. In fact, they told me that a doctor was reviewing everything right now.

..............So, I wait for them to contact me again to set up an appointment.

But I've also just recently gotten information from a relative that they knew someone that had a "less than perfect" experience with SCCA. Something about the experienced doctors there not taking new clients and they were being handled by a doctor that had just changed specialties. These folks switched and went to Virginia Mason (also in Seattle) and received excellent care.

We'll just have to keep our ears and eyes open to make sure the BEST is what we get.

I was outside this morning before it got warm and started pruning a couple trees. Then I had to clean up the mess on the ground. Within an hour the front yard was all cleaned up and looking snazzy.

Thinking of heading into town for pizza. It sounds pretty good to me. Oh yes, and I've taken a shower. So I guess I'm ready for anything!!!

Pizza and ice cream, I like how you think Phyllis. Hmm, interesting news about the less than perfect experience. Can you get an appt at Virginia Mason too? oh and I haven't showered yet so you are way ahead of me for the day...and it's almost 4pm...:)

Well, I am going to learn to do this just for you. I am not familiar with these blogs so here I go. This is my second attempt and I hope it works. A few years back I had some serious troubles and no doc in the Tri-Cities seemed to be able to help. In fact there was only one specialist and he was overbooked! I wasted valuable time. I finally went to Virginia Mason and got it resolved. They were the best and treated me WONDERFUL. Even their follow up was fantastic. So I am with Amanda and hope you will get a referral and an appt at Virginia Mason as soon as you can. My prayers are with you.
