Arriving in Georgia

Stopped at the Georgia Visitor Center to pick up some maps and do a little geocaching....my first caching in 1-1/2 years. Met some other cachers from Georgia. Other than getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, it was GREAT.

Girls have to eat.........so we went to Texas Roadhouse in Savannah.....which of course started with all the peanuts we could eat and throw on the floor, or anywhere else we chose to put them! What fun.

This is Carol doing more than sampling!

Oh yes........my GPS really did die. So I bought this fancy "brand new" Garmin 60CSx GPS. Of course I haven't figured it all out yet, but it was nice to walk into a Pro Bass store and say "I'll take THAT one". We're anxious to try it out tomorrow.

First of all...........dinner was wonderful. I had a half rack of "melt-off-the-bone" ribs. Oh my gosh, it was wonderful. I know I'll be drinking lots of water tonight. But oh boy was it ever worth it. And Carol had pulled pork. She didn't eat all of hers, so we're hoping to have sandwiches for tomorrow. More yum, yum good food.

We arrived in the outskirts of Savannah about 2pm today. Got all set up in our new location, then took off for town & shopping. We've decided we're going on a historical trolley tour. They come and pick us up here at the resort at 9am and and then bring us back on the 5pm trolley. We'll get to ride on all the trolleys....hop on, hop off whenever we want. Should be a lot of fun. We're kind of excited.

Of course, we're hoping it quits raining. It is literally pouring down rain right now. We just have to believe that this weather will quit by tomorrow.....because we've already paid $25 per ticket for the day.

Well, I'd better quit to finish watching Dancing With The Stars. At first I didn't think we were going to get this channel. But we finally dialed it in. Yea.

Goodnight!

Georgia sounds great - but the photos aren't showing up on your webpage for me. Is something awry? I'd love to see them!
