Sorry, but I got so excited about serving the ice cream cake, that we actually never got a really good picture of it. Here Albert is asking what the "8" Birthday candle is for. Well, it was the only numbered candle we could find........and there were eight of us in attendance!
Not sure what is going on here.....but it involves two goofy guys with goofy expressions. This is John (Christiina's new husband) and of course the birthday boy.
Finally....cutting the cake. Ahhhh. Ice cream cake. Yum. We had two kinds of ice cream - chocolate and orange sherbet. I will say that the sherbet was awesome. The guy in the background is Albert's best friend from college - Keith Roberts. He & his wife drove all the way down from Colville to spend about 4-hours with Albert. What a special time!
Marsha "playing" with her new Rwandan drum........in an attempt to taunt husband Brent. Gosh, maybe I created a monster.
Keith & Frani Roberts, along with sister Marsha looking at something intriguing. Don't have any idea what it was........but it made them smile!
My dear niece Christiina.........taken by her goofy husband! They are sure cute together.
Everyone is around the table (except Christiina, who was taking this photo). You can see that none of us went away hungry.
We all had a really good time Sunday, and truly surprised Albert....since it was two days after his birthday. When Keith & Frani rang the doorbell, they played it really cool. Said they were just in the area and thought they'd stop by!
Tried real hard not to wear him out, but by the time we left shortly after 5pm, you could tell he was pooped.
But he & Keith managed to take a couple short walks around the area, one time going about one mile. They both enjoyed those walks and Albert said it gave them a chance to talk. Guess it had been close to 20 years since the Roberts' had been to Moses Lake.

Thank you for a job well done, Phyllis. We made a wonderful memory Sunday! Praise God for the love and laughter...and especially for the assurance of eternal life for those who've accepted His free gift.

Cool, it looks like it was a fun party! I enjoyed seeing pics of Marsha - I haven't seen her in ages!
