Since we last spoke, I've been busy.....doing:
- Shut off my outside water and drained the lines
- Had farrier out and trimmed eight horses (but I think I was on my feet too long, because I was "out of sorts" for a couple days afterwards.
- Drove to Spokane on Friday for an eye doctor appointment....The appointment wasn't until 2:45pm, so I arrived there early and had lunch with one of the gals I met in Africa. We talked about our 2010 trip to Greece and the rest of Europe. (But more about that later, in another blog). As I drove back home - heading west, the sun was peaking through the clouds and glaring loudly on all of the cars. It didn't help that my eyes were dilated.
- Most of Saturday was spent "online" getting all of the details figured out for signing up for a Rick Steves tour of Greece in June for three individuals.
- Sunday after church I hauled my horse - Millie to her new home. She was the last horse born on my place, and it was kind of hard letting her go. But I know that she went to a good home, so that helps. We had dinner at their home after dropping off the horse.
- Monday I had my weekly blood draw at the Cancer Center......the results were great. Then I went over to Costco and ordered new glasses. Should be ready within two weeks.
- Tuesday I got a haircut, went grocery shopping, home for a quick nap, then back for week5 of chemo.
- Wednesday (today) some gals from my saddle club came out to help do projects around here that I cannot do. They cleared cobwebs, picked rocks out of the arena, swept and cleaned the alleyway, cleaned the tack room. I spent the early morning working on a "contract" with the girls going to Greece. I wanted to make sure that they understood that just because I was paying all of the "up-front" expenses, they will be responsible for all of my costs should they have to cancel for any reason.
That pretty much puts you up-to-date. I have bible study this Friday, then Saturday I'm helping out with a conference at another church in the area that is talking about widows and orphans. We'll talk about our trip to Rwanda and what our experiences were. I'm looking forward to it.
The following Saturday we're going north of Seattle to a travel festival at Rick Steves office in Edmonds.
As you can see, I'm still staying busy. I had no repercussions AT ALL today from the chemo. I think I've finally got this chemo thing figured out. I'm just staying focused on the positive and let all of the other stuff slip on past. This is all in the hands of the Lord and I trust him.
Thanks for caring.

Thanks for the update, Phyllis. Your zest for life puts smiles on many, many faces. No doubt about Who you've allowed to be in charge of your life. May God continue to bless!

Great news. Glad to hear you're doin' well.
Ya'll don't HAVE to post any blog entry. We'll take what works for you. Post once a week? That's fine. Post often, and then nothing for nearly a week, and count on some inquiry about how you're doing. We're not bugging you... just hoping everything is OK.
It's all good.

CADENCE'S GRAND DAD
You are one of the best blogers I read. You really do keep postings regularly and its very heartening knowing your trust in the Lord. Be well in spirit my friend. Mary
