Okay...............we arrived in Africa two hours late, but everything went great. Long, but great.
Only problem is I cannot access WiFi with my computer. So while I've got pictures downloaded on my personal laptop, we can't transfer to the internet.
Weather is warm, but we're getting use to it.
Worked on the water tower yesterday. I'm great at SLINGING MUD. (Surprised I know).
I've got to let everyone else use this machine, so will sign off for now.
I get to meet my sponsor child this afternoon.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Ouch.

Happy 2009!! I'm glad to hear you're having fun playing in the mud ; ) I'm sure it will be quite fun to meet your sponsor child - and can't wait until you are able to post pics.
Take care!

We got an email update from Erica posted 2:50 AM 1/1/2009.
Good to hear you made it OK and are at work already.
Looking forward to photos and email postings when you get a chance.

I so enjoy reading your blog. Oh, and I'm soooo surprised you are good at slinging mud. Not! I did notice in the update from Erica there is only one man in your group. I thought to myself, so what!, Phyllis can out work just about any man I know and I figure you are right in your element. You go girl! Can't wait to read more...
Happy New Year!!!! So glad to hear that you arrived safely!!! Pictures will be enjoyed whenver they are posted, either in Rwanda or when you are back home. Enjoy meeting your sponsored child!!! What an opportunity!!! Love and prayers!
This journey for New Years Day will be unforgettable. I've seen you sling a few things but not mud..kind of looks like it but it's green. All is well at the home front. Horses survived the fireworks. Neighbors have inquired about you so I'll pass on the good word. Like many of your blogging buddies, I too can't wait for pictures.
Oops, forgot to sign my name. Peg
